I chose loyalty as my first pillar of my “Six Fundamental Pillars of Character” because loyalty has been something I have cherished for my entire life. I believe being a loyal friend and/or family member is the most important characteristic for anyone to have. I believe this because if one does not have loyalty, what is their purpose? The Pillars of Character are Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. Trustworthiness is when you’re honest and reliable to others. Respect is when have good manners towards others and deal with things in a calm way.
